The Tech
The system pairs PetPace 2.0 non-invasive smart collars with a proprietary algorithm that cross-references multiple dogs' physiological and behavioral anomalies against seismic data in real time. No previous animal-monitoring earthquake system has scaled because they relied on outdated, invasive technology.
Business Result
Pilot phase detected 18 seismic events and issued alerts reaching over 9 million residents across Lima by April 2024. 175 volunteers enrolled their pets within six months; rollout underway in Turkey and Japan, establishing PetPace's entry into high-risk earthquake markets.
