This thought-provoking campaign explored the diverse reasons people travel by responding to the question, “What is the purpose of your visit?” With its witty and engaging executions across 500 print, digital, and outdoor platforms, the campaign showcased impressive scale and creativity. Javier Campopiano, Outdoor Lions Jury President, emphasized the power of connecting with audiences through genuine human emotions and stories.
Cannes Lions 2023: Print & Publishing Grand Prix
Honoring Creativity in Circulation In the Print & Publishing Lions category, 814 entries were received, resulting in 26 Lions being awarded: 4 Gold, 7 Silver, and 14 Bronze. The Grand Prix was bestowed upon Impact BBDO Dubai’s “Newspapers Inside The Newspaper Edition” for AnNahar Newspaper. This remarkable campaign paid tribute to freedom of speech in Lebanon and addressed the challenges faced by the publishing industry. By utilizing the newspaper’s daily edition to revive publications that had been silenced due to political pressure, the campaign showcased the enduring innovation and importance of a free press.
Cannes Lions 2023: Radio & Audio Grand Prix
Wired for Creative Sound The Radio & Audio Lions category received 715 entries, with 22 Lions awarded: 3 Gold, 7 Silver, and 11 Bronze. The Grand Prix was awarded to Colenso BBDO Auckland for their captivating “Phone It In” campaign for Skinny, a telecommunications company based in New Zealand. This innovative campaign demonstrated the power of sound to captivate audiences and deliver impactful storytelling.
Cannes Lions 2023: Health & Wellness Grand Prix
Inspiring Personal Well-being Honoring creativity for personal well-being, the Health & Wellness Lions received 1297 entries, resulting in 37 Lions being awarded: 6 Gold, 13 Silver, and 17 Bronze. The Grand Prix was earned by Special Auckland’s “The Last Performance” for Partners Life. This disruptive campaign encouraged individuals in New Zealand to reconsider their perceptions of life insurance and take proactive steps towards securing their future.
