This year’s jury has recognized outstanding creativity, with 4 Grand Prix, 27 Gold, 69 Silver, and 65 Bronze awards. The award-winning campaigns, in partnership with our official partner Gerety Awards, are already available on our platform.

 

A Golden Victory for VMLY&R São Paulo

VMLY&R São Paulo has soared to success, securing a prestigious Gold award in the Entertainment Cut category for their campaign titled “Buscapé. Back to the City of God.” This exceptional project, crafted for Telefonica Vivo and Motorola, stands as a sequel to Brazil’s most celebrated film, a four-time Oscar nominee. Worth noting, “Buscapé” had already secured 2 Silver and 1 Bronze awards at Cannes Lions, as well as 1 Silver and 1 Bronze at D&AD earlier this year.

The agency’s talent also shone in the “Dogs Without Borders” campaign, a collaborative effort with VMLY&R Health Madrid and VMLY&R New York for KDOG Cancer Detection Group. This heartwarming campaign garnered a few Silver awards across the Pharma, Work for Good, and Experience Cuts categories.

 

The Grand Prix

The Gerety Awards Grand Prix, the pinnacle of creative recognition, was presented to four exceptional campaigns:

  • Innovation Cut:The First Digital Nation” for The Government of Tuvalu, crafted by The Monkeys (part of Accenture Song), celebrated alternative media’s innovative power.
  • Experience Cut:See My Skin” by Edelman for Vaseline Healing Jelly (Unilever) received the Grand Prix for its remarkable integrated campaign.
  • Work For Good Cut: McCann Warsaw’s “Where To Settle” for Mastercard achieved the Grand Prix, showcasing outstanding strategy.
  • Humour Cut: DDB Chicago’s “Apologize the Rainbow” for Skittles tickled the funny bone, earning the Grand Prix in the humor category.

 

Global Recognition

 

The most honored work globally was “THE GLITCH” by BBDO Germany for Alzheimer Forschung Initiative, securing three Gold, three Silver, and one Bronze award. Meanwhile, “Apologize the Rainbow” for Skittles by DDB Chicago was the second most celebrated campaign, winning 1 Grand Prix, 2 Gold, and 1 Silver. VMLY&R Mexico’s “Shout for Movistar” claimed the third spot, amassing 1 Gold, 4 Silvers, and 1 Bronze.

 

A Global Showcase of Creativity

Notably, McDonald’s emerged as the most awarded brand worldwide at the 2023 Gerety Awards. Joan Colletta, Senior Director of Global Brand Marketing at McDonald’s, expressed pride in the recognition and emphasized McDonald’s commitment to building meaningful connections with its diverse global fan base.

This year’s laureates hail from 34 different countries, exemplifying the Gerety Awards’ commitment to celebrating advertising campaigns that resonate most with a female audience. With judging sessions held around the world, the Gerety Awards continue to unite creative leaders in evaluating work from a powerful perspective.
